This is a rare and sought-after Music Man Sabre II electric guitar, originally built between 1978 and 1980 during the early days of Music Man under Leo Fender's direction. It’s known for its clear, powerful tone and innovative electronics.

Weight: 7.9 lbs
Includes: Hard shell case

Condition:
This guitar has been set up and plays great. It shows noticeable wear throughout, including dings, scratches, and marks on the body and headstock (see photos). There are also two dark marks on each side of the headstock. All wear is cosmetic and does not affect performance.

Features:

  • Body: Ash or poplar (varied by production batch)

  • Neck: Maple with 22 frets and tilt-neck adjustment

  • Fretboard: 7.5" radius with vintage-style frets

  • Pickups: Dual humbuckers with a tone similar to the Music Man StingRay bass

  • Electronics:

    • Internal active preamp for consistent tone at any volume

    • Active 3-band EQ with separate volume, treble, and bass controls

    • Switching options include bright, phase reversal, and 3-way pickup selector

This is a great example of a unique vintage guitar that’s both collectible and highly playable.
