Check out this vintage 1962 Gibson LG-1. It features a Fishman pickup with an output jack installed at the bottom strap button, making it stage ready.
Cosmetically, the guitar shows its age with some scratches, dings, and marks throughout, along with light finish checking. Despite these signs of wear, the frets show no noticeable wear, and the guitar plays and sounds great.
The LG-1 was introduced during World War II as part of Gibson’s effort to streamline its flat top acoustic lineup. Released alongside the LG-2 and LG-3, the LG-1 was designed as an affordable, entry level instrument aimed at students and younger players. It features ladder bracing, a spruce top, and a mahogany back, which contribute to its warm, mid-focused tone and vintage character.
Includes a hardshell case.
