The latest version of this Inspired by Gibson model from the Modern Collection builds on the foundation of the SG Custom and adds new features that make it more comfortable to play and better than ever.
This guitar features a double cutaway Modern SG mahogany body with a light, ergonomic feel. The body features a AAAA flame maple veneer top. The mahogany neck features a SlimTaper C profile. It attaches to the body at the 24th fret, providing the player with excellent access to the entire length of the bound ebony fretboard. The fretboard has a 10”-14” compound radius for exceptional playing comfort, and is equipped with 24 extra durable, stainless steel medium jumbo frets. On the electronics, this SG features a pair of Epiphone T-Type PRO humbuckers™ with nickel covers, each with individual volume and tone controls. For added tonal versatility, the volume controls feature push/pull pots for coil splitting, and one of the tone controls has a push/pull switch for phase switching when both pickups are used together.
This guitar weighs only 7.60lbs, really light for those long gigs, light for transport and easy on the shoulders. We have professionally set up and restrung this guitar, it feels great and the action is nice and low. The frets have very light wear, the body and neck are in excellent condition, no visible scratches or dings anywhere.
