We have this 2000 Fender Standard Stratocaster Made in Mexico in Midnight Blue. Featuring the classics: poplar body, maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 5-way-switch, and three single-coil pickups delivering that iconic Strat tone. With a 21-fret neck and synchronized tremolo bridge, it’s perfect for everything from blues to rock. 2000 Strats were made with poplar bodies, which gives more of a midrange bite than the later alder models while retaining the ringing highs.
We have restrung and set up this guitar to play nice and easy, with great low action. This guitar weighs just 7.90lbs. The frets have some playing wear. The body has a few scratches and dings, the pickguard has swirling from playing, all which is common in 2000's guitars. We have pictured all in the photos. Sonically, this guitar sounds great and is ready for gigging.
