Charvel

Charvel has become one of the most recognizable guitar brands of all time. They have created some of the most high performance guitars you can possibly pick up. 

In the late 1978, Grover Jackson bought Charvel from Wayne Charvel. He quickly started transforming the brand and making customized, high performance guitars for players. Players like Eddie Van Halen, Allan Holdsworth, Jake E. Lee, and Warren DiMartini started taking notice and quickly jumped on the brand. Eventually, Grover Jackson started creating guitars with the Jackson name on the headstock, but that is a whole different story. Charvel was a big competitor in the 1980s. They were constantly battling 80s guitar brands such as Kramer, Ibanez, Jackson, and BC Rich for the top spot.

Today, Charvel still thrives in the guitar industry. They have players like Guthrie Govan, Angel Vivaldi, Satchel, Jim Root, and many others. From their popular DK24s, to their San Dimas models, every guitar has an identity, but they go deep in their roots and pull stuff from Charvel's history.
