March 11, 2011 -- a fiercely powerful earthquake produced a tsunami that ravaged the eastern coast of Japan. Those that survived the disaster face the bitter reality that their homes, possessions and livelihood were swept away – perhaps forever. This limited edition acoustic dreadnought guitar has a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, with the Japanese Flag on the 12th fret of the fretboard, and the poignant phrase “Play for You, Play for All” inscribed on the pickguard. Takamine will donate 100% of the profits generated by the sale of this one guitar to local charities that have the means to put these funds to work where they are most needed.
