Meet our Instructors:
Ken Valentino
Ken started teaching beginner lessons at 15 and started teaching at Danny D's at 17. He has been fortunate enough to have music as his sole income for all that time (except one Christmas when he played Santa Claus at Baybrook Mall just to see what it was like). He has enjoyed playing numerous instruments, but as of now has focused mainly on guitar, bass, vocals and more recently banjo.
As far as styles he has focused more on Blues, Rock, Country, Jazz, Bluegrass, Celtic, Metal and Funk. His teaching style is to "have fun to get things done" and to "work on how to practice as opposed to just practicing more". He believes the advantage of one on one lessons is to tailor fit the style, technique, and even song selections to your goals.
George Elbel
George has been playing guitar and bass for 32 years. He has been teaching for since 1980. Several of his students have gone on to teach also. George is very familiar with all styles of rock, country, jazz and classical.
Dr. Cletus Blakely
Cletus teaches guitar, bass and upright bass. He currently plays bass with the Hollisters and Davin James. Cletus has been playing for over 38 years and teaching for over 20.
Kenny Cordray
President of Rock Camp Live, Kenny has written, recorded and rocked with numerous world class artists, including ZZ Top, Jaco Pastorious, Jerry Lee Lewis, and John Lee Hooker, just to name a few.
